JES2 Output Management, for archiving and analysing spool output.
From the JES spool the selected output is unloaded by a monitor in real time into VSAM dataset.
The output is retrieved from the VSAM dataset by an ISPF GUI.
In order to archive the output safely for several years, an automatic process exists to offload the data to CART and make it automatically available again to the GUI when needed.
The access to the data is protected via a SAF interface. The same SAF definitions can be used as for the online spool tools (SDSF, Flascher), so there would be no need for a separate authorization concept.
This product is very fast, resource-saving and, since it has been in use for decades, very stable.
